Happy Pride Month!

We're midway through Pride Month, a time to celebrate LGBTQIA+ individuals and representation, and to recognize the hardships that face LGBTQIA+ individuals to this day.

Critical Role Wiki is happy to celebrate Pride Month and we're spotlighting some of the amazing LGBTQIA+ characters we love. Critical Role has been active virtually from its beginning in creating LGBTQIA+ characters, respecting pronoun preferences, and incorporating LGBTQIA+ relationships naturally (and often beautifully) into its storylines.

Critical Role Wiki keeps an active list of canonically-confirmed LGBTQ+ Characters from across various CR-related media. There are over 75 characters, and we look forward to seeing that number continue to grow! These are just a few of t…

Admin statement regarding recent events - 19th of August 2021

This is a statement released by the team of administrators of the Critical Role Wiki.

To all editors of the Critical Role Wiki,

On Tuesday the 10th of August 2021 we promised to release a statement regarding the events of the last weeks, especially Monday, the 9th of August. Drafting this statement took a little longer than was anticipated or desired, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

First, a quick explanation about this statement. This is a long statement, and given the logistics of writing statements in a group is hard, the following should be taken into account: it was drafted by one admin (Dexcuracy) and therefore this statement may alter between using ‘we’ and sometimes ‘I’ to make reading and writing this statement eas…

FandomDesktop transition

To all Critical Role Wiki editors,

In the next week (Week 29), Fandom will change the default skin on this wiki to the FandomDesktop skin as part of their site-wide rollout of this skin to all Fandom wikis. This will dramatically change how the wiki looks and affect your editing experience.

As with every change to websites, especially websites highly customized like wikis, this may cause issues. The skin may have bugs that are inherent to the skin, or the skin may conflict with our wiki-specific settings, styling and layout. If you encounter any of these issues, it is likely necessary to be fixed by an admin, so please report them. There are a few ways to do so:

  1. Please report it in the discussions section with the category: "Bug Report". Plea…

Timestamp updating project

Hey editors!

As some of you may have noticed, the VODs for Campaign 2, Episode 20 up to Episode 51 have been moved from the Geek & Sundry channel to the Critical Role channel. In doing this, they edited out the break, which means all timestamps from these episodes post-break are now incorrect. We have created a temporary page to aid in updating this discrepancy. Any help is appreciated!

Adding Art to the Critical Role Wiki

As everyone's aware, CR has some of the best and most prolific fan artists around, and their frequently breath-taking pieces add a tremendous amount both to the show, and to this wiki. But adding those art pieces here can seem really complicated at first. There are two possible pathways: 1) The wiki already has a blanket permission from the artist to use their artwork; and 2) We don't.

Pathway One is WAY easier, so let's start there.

  • Step 1: Confirm Permission.

Easiest way I've found is when I see artwork I think would make a good addition, I search the wiki for "art by (Artist Name)". Sometimes I have to try a couple of names, since artists go by twitter handles, names, tumblr accounts, and nicknames. If something pops up, go to the Category…

Chapter Division Explanations (Feedback Welcome)

Hi, Critters!

Since this has come up a few times, I figured I'd use a blog post for easy reference to explain why this wiki uses chapters when Critical Role and Geek & Sundry do not, as well as to lay out a few reasons for the current format. Of course, this (and everything else) is always up for community discussion!

With over two hundred hours' worth of Critical Role episodes (see the "Running Times" spreadsheet by CritRoleStats), this series has already produced more content in about a year than most multimillion-dollar TV shows produce over their entire lifetimes. That means there's also a lot of content for this wiki to cover—and a lot for Critters to remember.

Toward the end of what we now call Chapter 1, this wiki's founder, Dexcuracy, s…

Critical Slack Team - A Collaboration Tool

Hey guys, quick post here: As this wiki is growing, I find it tedious to communicate through user message walls and page talk pages. I think a more centralized discussion will benefit the wiki, which is why I created a Slack Team for Critical Role: criticalrole.slack.com

Slack is a chat client designed for collaboration in teams and I think it is pretty neat. Slack will be the optimal place to ask questions about the wiki, discuss the content of pages and stuff like that, as everybody (that wants to) gets notified of chat messages. This way we can all help eachother out and questions will not get hidden by Wikia's system of talk pages. This Slack team might even grow into a place to chat about Critical Role when it is not on stream. I hope …

Introduction

Hello everybody. We are already 15 episodes into Critical Role and the wiki is already 12 weeks old, so I can't think of a better time to do an introduction than now. (:3)

So hello everybody, wether you have been with the Geek and Sundry community from the beginning or just joined (perhaps one of the 300 subscribers, a crazy amount, from last broadcast), welcome to one of the best communities on the internet, and one of the few to have a Twitch chat you actually want to read ;D.

Other than a quick welcome, I don't have much to say for now, other than a quick question about cutting Critical Role into seasons.

It is, as of now, not yet clear if Critical Role will be cut into seasons or if it will be a long string of episodes, effectively withou…
