The Dragon Slayer Longsword is a magical longsword that is especially effective against dragons.

Properties[]

The attuned wielder gains a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. When a dragon is hit with this weapon, the dragon takes an extra 3d6 damage of the weapon's type. For the purpose of this weapon, "dragon" refers to any creature with the dragon type, including dragon turtles and wyverns. [2]

While it is a longsword, it is considered to have the finesse property, allowing the wielder to use their Dexterity modifier instead of their Strength modifier when determining attack and damage rolls.

History[]

Vox Machina retrieved from the lair of the white dragon Rimefang during their Trial of the Take.[3] It was generally wielded by Percy for the rare occasions that he needs to make a melee attack, but he often lended the sword to other party members, usually Vax'ildan, when he feels that they could make better use of it than him, such as during the battles against Umbrasyl[4] and Thordak.[5]
