Gatekeeper Xanthus was an elven man with long grayish-white hair. He was dressed in fine robes when Vox Machina first met him.[3]

Personality Edit

Biography Edit

"Escape from the Underdark" (1x13) Edit

When Tiberius used a Circle of Teleportion spell to get Vox Machina out of the Underdark, they arrived in the Lyceum while Xanthas was on shift at the teleportation circle. Because their arrival was unscheduled, he questioned them briefly, but in the end only requested that they file a report the next morning.

"The Feast" (3x01) Edit

Seeking access to a teleportation sigil in Kraghammer, Tiberius met with Xanthus briefly in the Lyceum. Xanthus sent him to talk to the headmaster, Thurmond Adlam.

"Clash at Daxio" (6x08) Edit

Gatekeeper Xanthus chose to serve Thordak after the Chroma Conclave's attack on Emon. Vox Machina faced off against him at Fort Daxio where he managed to kill some soldiers and dominated Vex before the ranger managed to shake off his control and kill him.

The party later found out that Xanthus had used a Wand of Feeblemind on Allura and was the one who called in the wyvern riders.
