Noja, commonly known as Abjurist Noja, is a wizard[1] specializing in the School of Abjuration.  As an NPC, he is played by Matthew Mercer.

Description

Appearance

Noja is a man in his forties with a long, thin reddish beard and long brownish-red hair.[4]

Personality

Biography

Background

Noja was the owner and keeper of Beyond the Veil, the largest source for purchasable magic relics and curiosities within Westruun.  As an accomplished wizard, Noja personally crafted many of the items and potions he sold[1] before Westruun was attacked by the Chroma Conclave.

Quite friendly, Noja has been helpful to Vox Machina many times.  During the Winter's Crest crisis, he used his power to shield most of the party from the freezing wave, leaving himself frozen solid.[1][5]  He was rescued by the party (along with the rest of the townsfolk of Westruun).[1]

"In the Belly of the Beast" (1x54)

After subduing the Herd of Storms that had taken over Westruun, Grog Strongjaw rescued Noja and some other prisoners from the Iron Stocks.[6]
