Biography

Background

"Arrival at Kraghammer" (1x01)

Nostoc informed the party that Lady Kima had gone into the mines earlier. He was very angry when he spotted Vax'ildan trying to siphon off some of the dwarven wine they had given to him as a gift to garner his cooperation in letting them into the mines.

"Into the Greyspine Mines" (1x02)

After the appearance of the naga, Nostoc gave Vox Machina a contract for twenty-five thousand gold pieces to find the source and leader of the monsters in the mines, and to eliminate them. He also promised an additional two hundred and fifty gold for each monster scalp they returned.

"The Draw of Destiny" (3x01)

When Vex'ahlia, Grog, Scanlan, and Tiberius finally returned to get their money, Nostoc was surprised to see them and said he thought they had died. When they tried to explain what they did and the monsters they killed, he had a very hard time believing them. Due to this disbelief, he tried to reduce the price he paid them to eighteen thousand gold, but Scanlan suggested to him that he is an honorable man who should stick to his deal. Eventually, Nostoc paid them in full and told them if they ever spoke a bad word about him, he'd come after them. Grog proceeded to lighten the mood before Nostoc eventually kicked them out for advertising Gilmore's Glorious Goods.[3]
