Sterling is the leader of the refugees in Roch Mar. As an NPC, he is played by Matthew Mercer.

Once Lilly led Vox Moronica to the refugee camp within Roch Mar, Sterling came out of his tent and asked them if they had come to help. After making a business deal with them, he told them what he knew of the curse on the town. He led them to the source's entrance and watched as they disappeared beneath the sand.
Because Vox Moronica was successful, Sterling paid them for their help. When Ulfgar Fireforge tried to get his daughter, Lilly, to travel with them, Sterling forbade it. However, he was willing to let the old woman with the violin travel with them after Salty Pete requested it.
