Vin Diesel, born as Mark Sinclair, is an American actor, producer, director, and screenwriter, well known for his roles in The Fast and the Furious film series and The Chronicles of Riddick series. He played Kaulder in "D&Diesel" (Sx03), which was created as a marketing promotion for his movie, The Last Witch Hunter.
Vin Diesel is a long time D&D player, since the early 80s, and has described his experience as "we were all drawn to the game because it allowed us to become these characters playing D&D was a training ground for our imaginations and an opportunity to explore our own identities".[1] According to Vin Diesel, he "played Dungeons and Dragons with Judi Dench and Karl Urban at nights after shooting".[2]

- Initially "D&Diesel" (Sx03) one-shot was planned as a two hour session, but, at the request of Vin Diesel's manager a couple of days before the filming, the story was condensed to an hour length, then cut to twenty minutes.[3]
- Vin Disel's first D&D character was named Melkor after the character of the same name from Middle-earth.[4]
